This course broadens students' understanding of mathematics as it relates to managing information. Students organize and analyze large amounts of data, solve problems involving counting techniques, probability, and statistics, and complete a culminating investigation that integrates the course expectations.

Prerequisite: Functions, Grade 11, University Preparation, or Functions and Applications, Grade 11, University/College Preparation

Skill Level: Beginner

This course extends students' experience with functions. Students investigate polynomial, rational, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions; broaden their understanding of rates of change; apply related concepts and skills; and refine mathematical processes needed for senior mathematics and future study.

Prerequisite: Functions, Grade 11, University Preparation, or Mathematics for College Technology, Grade 12, College Preparation

Skill Level: Beginner

This course introduces functions by extending students' work with linear and quadratic relations. Students investigate discrete and continuous functions, including trigonometric and exponential functions; represent functions numerically, algebraically, and graphically; explore inverses; simplify expressions; and solve multi-step application problems.

Prerequisite: Principles of Mathematics, Grade 10, Academic
